Ready. Set. Go and Date.

FISHERMANS WHARF

By Nicole Honchariw

Where: Go Cars  (Fisherman’s Wharf/North Beach)
When: Make this one a clear morning, after breakfast adventure.
You’ll need: A sense of humor, a date with a sense of humor, a driver’s license (with Uber being so prominent, we have to put it out there).
Cash factor: Moderate.

Your date seems fun. Like, grew up with Super Soakers in the backyard, knows how to throw a curveball and where to get the best illegal fireworks fun. You can also tell that, like you, she doesn’t take herself too seriously, and is always up for a new adventure. Enter Go Cars, those awesomely cheesy go-carts you’ve seen flying around the Marina and North Beach. Gear up for a day of playing tourists by telling your date to dress comfortably and picking her up at home (you don’t want to ruin the surprise just yet). There might be some awkward laughter as the two of you strap on your helmets and fold yourselves into your tiny new ride, but that just builds your rapport. Enjoy seeing San Francisco from a whole new (low) vantage point as you careen up and down the steep hills, all the while, your shoulders and legs up against each other in this tight space. She’ll have a blast, and you can toast to a fun filled day with an Irish coffee at The Buena Vista after you drop your sweet ride off.
