Your date isn’t really into wine: she loves a good mixed drink and has stuck with this order since you guys met. So, pack a picnic and head St.George Spirits. Formerly Hangar One, this place is great for not only catering to some of your date’s favorites, but also perfect for helping expand both of your horizons and dip into new liquor territory. The distillery is still taking on the look and feel of Hangar One and some of their best vodka infusions are concocted daily. If you’re both into a little spice, shoot for chili infused or, if you’re into something sweeter, go for the lychee. Whichever you choose, you both will be wondering how you can start your own vodka infusing business as your next career move. If vodka isn’t your liquor of choice, be bold and shoot for the absinthe tasting. (Don’t get too excited, the U.S. absinthe grade doesn’t come close to the European version, though it is still just as delicious.) A big reminder: there is no food so pack a lunch or grab a bite before the tour as things can turn south, fast. Speaking of, if you think things might turn south fast, there is a ferry that leaves SF and drops you off about a 20-minute walk or 3-minute Uber/Lyft away. Lastly, the exterior of St. George’s isn’t aesthetically pleasing to the eye, so if you’re looking for Napa-type scenery, you may just want to go there instead. Bottoms up!
